Kerasan is one of the first companies founded in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana. Founded in 1960, it specialises in the production of sanitary ware in fine ceramics. Today the company is present on the main international markets with bathroom collections complete with furnishings, accessories and taps and fittings. For over 50 years Kerasan has been making quality products not only because the market demands it, but because producing fine sanitary ware, appreciated all over the world, is first and foremost a passion that grows day after day and fills every single person in this great company with pride. This is the philosophy that guided the company yesterday and will continue to guide it tomorrow. Through a modern industrial complex covering about 14,000 square metres, Kerasan carries out every stage of the process in-house: from the conception of the product to its design and manufacture. THEMA series by Kerasan

This is Kerasan’s proposal to the success of Ideal Standard’s Conca which we discussed in the post: ”The CONCA toilet bowl and toilet seat.. and its “brothers”", same rectangular shape and same raised and sloping rear deck (see post: ”Sanitary wear with a raised top. WC seats with 45° fixing hinges (part 1)”). It is often mistaken for Ideal Standard’s famous Conca series because of its shape, but in addition to being shorter, it has a toilet seat fixing distance of a good 20 cm. RITMO series by Kerasan

Falls into the category of narrow shapes. Ritmo we saw it in the post: ”Narrow WC seats and bidets. WC seats are narrow and hard to be found. RETRO’ series by Kerasan

This is the series with which the company has entered the market for English or classic style antiqued series. The ceramic workmanship is impeccable and the shape is extremely successful and refined. NORA series by Kerasan

Rectangular shapes are a very strong feature of many Kerasan series, as you can see that this geometric shape attracted a lot of attention from the company’s designers. Among the old 70s models we find Nora. Although it is a typical square shape, all the edges of the corners and the top have been rounded, making it a very “reassuring” shape. We have seen its competitors in that period in the post: ”Older, discontinued models with rectangular toilet seats. BRIO series by Kerasan

This series by Kerasan is, in our opinion, one of the few rivals to the legendary SQUARE by Pozzi Ginori, which we have seen at length in the post: ”Pozzi Ginori sanitary ware old squared models. Square, Italica and Italo Duo which toilet seat is the correct one?”. Brio, unlike the Pozzi Ginori series, has sharper lines and an even more geometric style.
