ELLADE series by Hidra Ceramica

Hidra Ceramiche is a company in the district of Civita Castellana which has conquered the bathroom furniture market for several decades thanks to the shape and quality of its sanitary ware. We have seen in two previous posts striking and distinctive WCs and bidets:”Hidra Ceramiche. The shapes of the sanitary ware of the new millennium and their WC covers.” e “Hidra Ceramica and the older, discontinued sanitary ware series. The toilet seat covers for these particular shapes (part 2).”: TOPLINE, PLUVIA, ONDA, MY, SMARTY, LOFT, DIAL and ANGELA.

With Ellade, Hidra Ceramica fully enters the market for retro sanitary ware and its shaped toilet seats. We consider it the most feminine shape in the bathroom furnishing world. Curves, curves and more soft, sinuous curves of class and beauty. In the glossy black version this toilet seat cover is stunning. CADOREs series by Gsi Facis

Today Facis has become GSI. A company of reference in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana. Series of specially shaped sanitary wares we have seen in the posts: ”GSI Ceramica. Modern ceramic design and unusual shapes from the past with Facis. Strange toilet seat shapes” and are called AVANT, LOSANGA and CLIZIA. In the previous post who GSI Ceramics is today and many series of these companies. In the post: ”GSI Ceramica. From the special shapes of Facis to today’s design. All the unobtainable toilet seats. (part 1)” we saw: PANORAMA, TRACCIA and ANTEA. We have seen PALACE and GINEVRA in the post: ”Sanitary ware in strange and unusual shapes and their covers (part 2)”, we saw ADDA in the post: ”The CONCA WC and toilet seat and its ‘brothers’ ” and in the post: ”Discontinued old sanitary ware models with rectangular toilet seats. (part 2)”, we saw OMEGA in the post: ”BIG sanitary ware, large WCs and bidets, modern lines and their covers (part 2)”.

We have chosen the above picture of this sanitary ware WC and especially of its toilet seat cover (winged picture) because here we are in the presence of the company’s shaped shape, it is characterised by the changes in depth of the upper surface In this model the feature is a lowering of the toilet seat from about 1/3 from the rear of the WC. Cadore is an incredible sanitary ware, in the upper rear part of the toilet towards the front a particular rise has been realised that leads the toilet seat to be carved so precisely that it seems to have been made to measure by a master carpenter. It was made in white, champagne and grey. SYNTESIS / SINTHESIS series by Ceramica Simas

Ceramica Simasis, needless to say, located as production in the ceramic district of Civita Castellana. We have seen his craftsmanship in ceramics in the posts: ”Ceramica Simas: half a century of sanitary ware history. All toilet seat covers for new and dated series.(part 1)” and “The Simas ceramic series and their toilet seats. Old models and the latest innovations (part 2)” where we discovered the series: FROZEN, GAMMA, GATE, SLY, BIARRITZ, ARCADE, LONDRA, FLOW, BOHEMIEN and LFT SPAZIO. There is also a small reference to the designer who designed the company’s most successful series: TERRI PECORA.

And here we come to the sanctity of the company in need of a shaped toilet seat: Sinthesis. The workmanship is exactly the opposite of Cadore, there the carving was in the outer rear part of the toilet seat, here in the central part. Have you ever heard of WCs that do the bidet function? I think so, the incredible thing is that they seem a very recent proposal, but in fact Simas ceramics had already proposed it over 30 years ago, it was called, or rather it is called since it is still in production SYNTESIS / SINTHESIS series. The ingenious idea of the ceramists from Civita Castellana was to extend the length of the toilet bowl to create a space to accommodate the practical hand shower, which could be removed from its seat and conveniently used when needed. To be able to install a toilet seat cover on a toilet bowl with such a special hand shower, a perfectly cut and shaped toilet seat cover was needed.
