Ideal Standard Linda series is a primary shape

Ideal Standard Linda series is a primary shape. A toilet seat cover formed by two parallel straight lines and two semicircle

  Postato da:
We have already talked about this fantastic series of Ideal Standard sanitaryware called Linda in previous posts: “Ideal Standard toilet seats and sanitaryware old models. (part 1)” (where we also saw the other series of the period: CONCA, TESI, DIAGONAL and LIUTO), in the one where we talked about the Ideal Standard white colour and explained its difference from the whites of other ceramic manufacturers “White as white can be! So why is white different in Ideal standard sanitaryware?” and in the post: ”Older sanitaryware models no longer in production. Where can I find the toilet seat? (part 1)”. We have told you that it was designed by Achille Castiglioni and was very popular in the 1980s and 1990s. Its pure geometric shapes: spherical above, rectangular parallelepiped below made it a unique piece. We consider it a primary shape because on the bathroom market this shape appeared with it. Before there was the oval shape, the square shape, the rectangular shape, the elliptical shape, and now there is the Linda shape. The upper part is an oval with elongated sides (two semicircles connected by two parallel straight lines). Since we in the Sintesibagno team have always liked it, we have dedicated a video to it:

All Linda toilet seat covers, in all colours: White EU, White Ideal Standard, champagne, blueberry, deep blue, mink, whisper green, whisper pink and also in the new thermosetting plastics (also soft-close with slow hinges) are available in the Sintesibagno store at the following link [ clik HERE ] Otoday we will see its competitors produced by Ideal Standard’s market “competitors” ceramic manufacturers.

LINEA series by Pozzi GinoriSerie LINEA Pozzi Ginori

If the formal strength of Linda lies in the contrast between the two geometric figures (sphere and parallelepiped) that Castiglioni skilfully combined, in this series by Pozzi Ginori called LINEA (the name has never been more apt), the starting point is the same shape of the top and then playing with “voids and solids” in the body of the sanitary ware that design it with a very logical style, giving it full formal harmony. It was produced in white [ clik HERE ] and in the champagne colour [ clik HERE ]. If you are looking for a toilet seat in a more modern material and perhaps with slow motion hinges you can find it at the following link [ clik HERE ]

TUSCIA series by Ceramica SenesiSerie TUSCIA ceramica Senesi

We have already talked about this Tuscan company in the posts: “Ceramica Senesi. Why is it difficult to find the toilet seats of this company?” readable HERE and “The Senesi ceramic toilet seats for the historical series (part 2)” readable HERE (where we saw the series: DUCCIO, PIENZA, DONATELLO, LUTEZIA and PALIO).Among the many “imitators” of Linda, it is certainly the one that most resembles her. The toilet seats for this series are also available in the new version in thermosetting at the following link [ clik HERE ]

M2 50 series by GalassiaSerie M2 50 Galassia

We met this series in the post: ”WCs in the same series, but toilet seats different in length and shape. Is this possible?” where we saw that the ceramic manufacturer had even proposed it to the market in three different depths: 45, 50 and 55. The one that we think most resembles the Linda shape is the fifty cm version shown here in the photo. In the Sintesibagno store a section of toilet seats has been created where you will find all three models with a lot of measures so as not to make mistakes in the purchase at the following link [ clik HERE ] and [ clik HERE ]

C 52 Light series by Ceramica Catalano

It was part of Catalano’s C System. It’s the early 2000s and Catalano ceramics is launching this series (aptly named system) called C. It achieved market success comparable to that of ZERO which we discussed in the post: “The Catalano Zero toilet seat. How many models are there in this series? Zero 45,50,54,55,62, Light, +”. From this ceramic idea Catalano developed the basis for the new SFERA series. It was presented in four variants of floor-standing and one wall-hung vase (here the original codes VPC52 VPCB52 VSC54 VPC54 MPSC). One of these floor-standing WCs was the C52 Light. On all four models the toilet seat is the same, the only difference is the C52 Light variant. All toilet seats of this system can be found in the store at the following link [ clik HERE ]
